Dr. Eric Stone received his degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. He joined the Northern Lakes Veterinary Clinic in 1993 when it was called the Cumberland Veterinary Clinic and specialized in dairy medicine. His love of dogs and cats brought change to the prosperous dairy practice and helped make it what it is today - a successful mixed animal practice especially known for its friendly and compassionate care of dogs and cats.
When it comes to his practice philosophy, Dr. Stone is very adept at getting to know his patients and their families. He always wants the very best care for his patients and understands that each pet is an individual and each owner's expectations can differ. Dr. Stone strives to work with his clients to come up with the best course of treatment for each individual pet.
Dr. Stone has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and has taken additional courses aimed at providing great dental care for pets. It has also been said many times by his veterinary staff that he has a wonderful way with cats.
Dr. Stone is married to Diane and they have two sons, David and Ben, who are both off at college now, and a daughter, Kate, in high school. In the summer, he spends many of his free weekends camping with his family, enjoying the beautiful outdoors of northwest Wisconsin. Additionally, Dr. Stone has volunteered countless hours as a Boy Scout Leader and as President of the Cumberland School Board. His favorite pets include his two dogs, Regan and Walter, and his cats, Daisy and Putz.
