Dr. Angie Ruppel

Dr. Angie Ruppel

Dr. Angie Ruppel graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. After working for four years at a busy inner-city veterinary clinic in Milwaukee, she joined the Northern Lakes Veterinary Clinic in 2007.

If asked what she enjoys most about her job (besides the endless puppies and kittens, of course), she will say it is being challenged by complex medical cases. She is always researching to find new and improved ways of treating specific diseases. She has had additional training in Chinese Acupuncture and Chinese Food Therapy and practices integrative medicine when she gets the chance. She welcomes the opportunity to use a combination of Western Medicine (pharmaceuticals) and Eastern Medicine (acupuncture, herbs and food therapy) to treat illness.

Dr. Ruppel is married to Robert and has four children, Harrison, Nautica and fraternal twins Wren and Rhowen. She cares for and loves an English Setter named England and helps her children care for each of their four cats. She considers herself a 'foodie' and when she is not working she is either cooking or otherwise thinking about food.

Dr. Ruppel's first dog she had with Robert was a Great Dane named Baxter. She will always have a special place in her heart for Great Danes.
